Mule & Prototype IPC Engineer
The Mule and Prototype IPC Engineer is responsible to lead the design of CAN communication and
development of functional requirements specific to mule and prototype vehicles while working with
suppliers and Engineering Support teams including systems, design release, wiring, networking and
architecture engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to design and
build mule and prototype vehicles. Responsibilities include:
Design and modify vehicle mule and prototype network topology diagram
Develop gateway functional requirements to communicate between different CAN architectures
Modify and map CAN/LIN network signals
Flash, configure and calibrate modules to meet vehicle build requirements
Troubleshooting / triage of vehicle electrical systems to support Mule and Prototype vehicle
builds
Perform bench level simulation and testing to verify developed Gateway software
Drive identified issues to closure
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in electrical engineering or Computer Engineering and Computer Science
Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools
Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes
Outstanding communication and organization skills
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with CAN Vector tools – Canoe, CANalyzer, CANAPE, NeoVI
Architecture/System Integration experience
Knowledge of CAN FD and Ethernet
